"Our hospital started with Covid units in a separate building of the hospital. The peak hit the whole of Los Angeles, prompting our Hospital to convert our unit into a Covid Unit. Never thought it’d happen, but it did.
To protect our household, my hospital shoes, after wiping it down is kept in a bag in the trunk of my car, and so did my work purse. It’s imperative to take off my scrubs in the garage and keep it in a sealed bucket for separate laundry. I can no longer go grocery shopping in my scrubs — it gets too much attention and dirty looks.
I believe I did whatever needs to be done as a nurse."
